Three Courts, One Small Village: Where Your Case Lands
Ballston Spa is the only place in the county where a DWI can touch three courts within about two miles. Arrests inside the village line are arraigned at the Village of Ballston Spa Justice Court on Bath Street. The village line itself splits between two towns, the Town of Milton and the Town of Ballston, so a stop just outside the village goes to Milton Town Court on Rowland Street or Ballston Town Court, depending on which side of the line the lights came on. Your appearance ticket says which court you are due in; bring it to your consultation.
